Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman said, “The Prophet said, Islâm will become worn out like clothes are, until there will be no-one who knows what fasting, prayer, charity and rituals are. The Qur’ân will disappear in one night, and no Ayah will be left on earth. Some groups of old people will be left who will say, ‘We heard our fathers saying La ilaha illa Allâh, so we repeated it.’

Silah asked Hudhayfah, “What will saying La ilaha illa Allâh do for them when they do not know what prayer, fasting, ritual and charity are?” Hudhayfah ignored him; then Silah repeated his question three times, and each time Hudayfah ignored him. Finally he answered, “O Silah, it will save them from Hell”, and said it three times. (Ibn Majah)

  • “When spoils and trusts are taken as booty;
  • when Zakaat is considered to be a burden (or tax);
  • when knowledge is learned, but not for the religion;
  • when a man obeys his wife but disobeys his mother, brings close his friend while keeping his father at a distance;
  • when voices are raised in the mosques;

  • ***and when the last of this nation curses the first of it*** — at that point, wait for a red wind, for the sinking of the earth, for Qadhr (two opinions: flying of stones with severe winds or the earth expelling the corpse of the deceased after its burial), and for signs that will follow in sequence like the beads of an old necklace after its string is cut — and they fall in sequence.” (At-Tirmidhee)

have all these not occurred? Subhan’Allaah. Let us all rectify our affairs and focus on our shortcomings. Let us deal with people in kindness and to only do good for the sake of Allaah. Let us improve everything we do & how we do it. May Allaah be pleased with us and may He forgive all our sins, ameen.

Al-‘Irbaadh bin Saariyah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) said: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) lead us in prayer one day, then he turned towards us and gave us a profound admonishing speech. It was so intense that the eyes began to flow with tears, and the hearts began to quiver. Then a person said, “O Messenger of Allah. It is as though this is a farewell admonishment, so what do you enjoin upon us?” He replied, “I advise you all with fear of Allah, and to listen to and obey those in authority, even if it is an Ethiopian slave (who becomes the leader). For verily, whoever lives after me from you all, he will see a lot of differing. Therefore, you must adhere to my Sunnah (i.e. my way), and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Caliphs (successive leaders). Hold on to it, and bite down on it with the molar teeth. Also, you must avoid new matters (in religion). For verily every new matter is an innovation (bid’ah), and every innovation is misguidance.”

From the Shirk Of The Soofees

pearlsofislam:

By Shaykh Saalih As-Suhaimee

From among the affairs of shirk are those Soofee deviated paths such that they claim that their shaykh has the ability to bring about good or remove harm even to the extent that some of the blind followers seek the Soofee shaykh’s mucus and sputum and they eat from it (seeking blessings)!

It may be that the Soofee shaykh orders that the water he uses to take a bath in, is used to drink seeking his blessings, even though, that water has passed over his naked body and private parts. This is clear shirk where Allaah will not accept any excuse for.

I remember when I was young, in Madeenah, during the eighties (1380′s AH), there was a man who was trialed, maybe he was possessed. People would come to him in the Prophet’s mosque with their cups of water such as a child would come thinking he has failed his exams and the Soofee shaykh would spit in his cup and the boy would drink it hoping it would bless him to pass his exams.

Those who are attached to this man in this way seeking help from him is indeed shirk with Allaah.

“And those who invoke not any other deity along with Allaah.”

(Qur’an, Surah Furqan, 25:68)

So be warned of this, O slave of Allaah.

A month ago someone on tumblr posted a beautiful quote from a very well known scholar that I did not follow nor agree with, I had asked this person if they were well aware of who the person was that they had reblogged because this Scholar did not pertain to my school of thought, The person then replied and simply wrote “Do not look at who is saying it, but rather look at whats being said” -Imam Ali (a.s)

At that very moment, I felt like a complete idiot because I realized that I had been ignoring certain things and completely overlooking the rest because I was picking and choosing who to listen to and not really looking at what was being said, my ignorance allowed me to fail at what I believed and I held so dear which was “always seek knowledge” -Prophat Muhammed (pbuh) I just hope that everyone realizes my mistake and like me, chooses to learn from them.

Peace and Great blessings inshallah.
